Yesterday The Girl Who Thinks She’s a Bird stopped by the Tacoma Home and Garden Show to check out the Vintage Market and to listen to a talk my favorite local gardener Ciscoe Morris was giving.
The Girl and I had to stand in the back because all the chairs were taken. Ciscoe is one of the best speakers on the planet. He has so much enthusiasm for what he’s talking about you can’t help but have a smile on your face the whole time you are listening to him. And he likes to giveaway prizes too. 😉
This was the third year I attended the Tacoma Home and Garden show and as with years past, my favorite part were all the garden displays.
And the vintage market. Local antique dealers come from all around to sell their wares so if you love browsing through antique stores you would have totally loved this. I am always on the lookout of for vintage watering cans but nothing this year caught my eye so I went home empty handed {which is rare}.
I wanted to buy up all these seed packets but they were $2 each. It really wasn’t a bad price, but the whole kit and kaboodle would have been about $400. And I wanted the whole kit and kaboodle. 🙁
Snowshoes! I’ll need to add these to my list of things to buy when we move to Colonial Williamsburg.
Vintage Amish bonnet.
Now how cute is this? If you have an old rusted out Radio Flyer wagon sitting in your garage, you should totally make one of these adorable container gardens.
Now the HH would have called all of this stuff junk, but there is something about old stuff that is just cool.
Wouldn’t you agree?
