I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. With the help of coupons, gardening and bartering I am able to squeeze the most out of our grocery budget and still manage to have a little fun along the way.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is on the menu tonight. Here’s what I know about this one: a reader suggested it, it gets awesome reviews {97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!!}, and the premise sounds super intriguing: Ricky, a defiant young city kid finds himself on the run with his crazy foster uncle in the wild New Zealand bush. A national manhunt ensues, and the two are forced to put aside their differences and work together.

Looks good, so we’re popping some popcorn and giving it a try.

In fact, listening to Christmas music could harm a person’s mental health, clinical psychologist Linda Blair says. Blair said the continuous playing of Christmas music in the car or at stores reminds people of all the things they need to do before the holiday arrives. Move Over Michelangelo

This is the most fascinating story of a man and a painting. Gabriel Gressieis, a painter from the Netherlands, was commissioned in 2014 to paint a massive and intricate picture for an antique toy dealer. The results are the most incredibly detailed painting I have ever seen. And then the story of how he painted it is quite detailed as well. It’s not often you hear the story behind how a pinting like this is made, but after hearing it, I have some mad respect for painters. That’s some hard work that goes into talent like that!
