The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head. Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}. They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.
So, without further ado, here’s this weeks edition of Random Goodness from Around the Web:
No Hair Needed for Crazy Hair Day!
Second grader, Gianessa, has alopeica, an auto-immune disorder that caused all her hair to fall out. But that didn’t stop her from wanting to participate when her school announced their annual “Crazy Hair Day!” She and her mom came up with a dazzling solution and I can’t stop staring. Not only does she look amazing, but she’s just radiating. She know she’s beautiful, and she so is. What a great lesson in turning what could be a frustrating situation into something amazing!
It all started with a simple question: Why did you fire my wife? An Indiana Cracker Barrel fired a woman that had worked for them for 11 years for an unknown reason {she was even fired on her husband’s birthday!}. Her husband, Brad, went to their Facebook page to ask why but, unfortunately, didn’t get an answer. Then the internet took over demanding justice for Brad’s wife and hilarity ensued. Thousands of Internet users are seeking justice for Brad’s wife by trolling Cracker Barrel’s Facebook page. A change.org petition has even garnered over 25,000 signatures, but still no response from Cracker Barrel.
No More Clinking Glasses When Toasting
People are geniuses! Seriously. I never would have come up with anything this cool. An edible water bottle? Love it. Perfect for the environment, for The Girl when she’s doing her races and doesn’t want to mess with the paper cup at the drink station, or for kids who are normally massive accidental waste producers {have you ever been to a kid’s birthday party and noticed that each kid someone manages to dirty 5 disposable cups each all on their own?!}. Ha!
Redefining the Crazy Cat Lady Label

Confession time:
I’ve got my people, my dog, my chickens, my rug hooking, the internet and the garden. There is food in my pantry and last night I made soup in the crock pot. The HH was puzzled by the giant {Lima} beans in the soup and mentioned he noticed my car hadn’t moved in a few days and was that why I was serving giant beans in the soup? Is that all we have left to eat in the pantry?
