1. Get Organized.
Instead of organizing this week, I decided to pull out the cupboards in my son’s bathroom and attempt to re-stain them. If I am successful, this will save us from having to buy a new {more updated} vanity unit for his bathroom when it’s time to remodel. We’ll see. I’m not very confident it will work, but I figure it’s worth a try.
2. Run, walk or crawl a Marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k race this year.
I haven’t signed up for anything yet, but I’ve been walking everyday.
3. Remodel our Master Bathroom, Master Closet and Monkey Boy’s Bathroom.
Chino stopped by the house yesterday to take measurements and to talk about the remodel. I’m still waiting for his bid, but we did decide to add a window in the bathroom. Yay!
4. Finish Every Room in Our House.
5. Turn Spare Bedroom into a Cozy Home Office Space for myself.
6. Create a Vegetable Garden.
Yesterday I installed a nice big hedge alongside the patio. The hedge will hide a potting bench {once I find one} and a few other garden accessories. I’m hoping to stop by the Home Depot this weekend to buy supplies for the new garden boxes I plan in make later this month.
7. Build a Path into the Hillside for Easy Access to the Upper Garden.
8. Limit my personal spending to $100 a month.
If eating an entire bag of Brach’s Cinnamon Gummi Hearts in 2 days is wrong… I don’t want to be right. They were delicious. It was money well spent. I have no regrets. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Total spent so far this month $84.33. Still have $15.67
9. Purge… Weekly. Find 10 things each week to donate to the thrift store.
I spy with my little eye, 3 articles of clothing, 1 golf glove, 1 crocheted Frisbee {?} 1 pint glass, 10 party invitations, 1 Girls Doodle Book, 1 Biology cheat sheet, 1 giant bag of markers.
10. Read 1 book a week. – My goal is to read 52 books this year
This past week I read Still Alice. You need to read it. And then afterwards, wonder if you might have Alzheimer’s every time you forget something. I highly recommend the book.
11. Slow Down. –
I felt like stitching birds… so I did. Now I just need to turn them into pin keeps. Caw!Caw!
12. Canning – I didn’t get a chance to can anything last week but I do have my eye on a new recipe. Stay tuned!
Did you set any goals for this year? If so, how are they coming along?
