It’s a new month and that means Amazon and Netflix have a boatload of new movies available. If you have not seen it already, Amazon Prime members can watch Angela’s Ashes this month. This one is a hard one to watch and will probably make you cry, but don’t let that scare you off.

The writing {and casting too!} is awesome, and even though it’s a heavy story line, it’s so worth watching. I’ve read the book 3 times. In a nutshell, it’s the childhood story of author Frank McCourt and how his father’s alcoholism wreaks complete havoc on his family. Like I said, heavy stuff. But if you’re in the mood to shed a good tear, this is the perfect movie for you.

Last week someone suggested I check out the Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. movie New in Town and after a quick peak at the movie trailer, I’m in! Plus the movie is available right now with Amazon Prime. Who knows, maybe I’ll even learn a tip or two about surviving the cold weather and be.ow freezing temperatures. 😉

If I had to choose just one television program that I have adored, and I do mean ADORED with every fiber of my being for as long as I can remember, it’s The Waltons.

In my mind, The Waltons is the best television program ever made. An ordinary family, living in a small town, with simple down home values. It’s a clean and wholesome program and I just love it to bits. In fact any time I have spent the night at my parents {or my mother has at mine} she always yells out “Goodnight Mary Ellen” to me as I’m going to bed.

And because I’m such a nerd, I’ve even been to the Waltons Museum, Earl Hamner Jr’s childhood home and own a signed copy of Spencer’s Mountain. So you can imagine how delighted I was when I found out The Waltons seasons 1-9 is now available with Amazon Prime.

So… I guess you pretty much know what I’ll be watching every.single.evening. this June as I work on my hooked rugs and such.  THE WALTONS! 🙂 🙂 🙂
