One Hundred Dollars a Month

The beauty of being a blogger is that I have a platform to share whatever noteworthy topic that pops into my head.  Sometimes, the crazy stories I come across on the inter-web or the random thoughts that pop into my mind aren’t really noteworthy at all {on their own}.  They usually make me pause, laugh, or just plain roll my eyes and I go on about my day.  

How Now Brown Cow

Oh gosh, you guys. Sometimes I read things and I am seriously worried about humanity. Do you think you can start evolving backwards? 16.4 million American adults believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Yep. Brown cows. Not milk, cocoa and sugar, but a colored cow. Wow.  The belief is that it stems from a lack of agricultural awareness. “One Department of Agriculture study, commissioned in the early ’90s, found that nearly 1 in 5 adults did not know that hamburgers are made from beef.

Many more lacked familiarity with basic farming facts, like how big U.S. farms typically are and what food animals eat.” So basically people no longer know where their food comes from or how it gets to their table. While that does make me sad, I have to admit it’s a little silly to think of an otherwise educated adult that thinks you can milk a cow an then down a nice glass of chocolate milk!

Boutique Baby-food Delivery Services Are a Thing,

For the low cost of around $80+/week, someone else will puree food for your baby and deliver it right to you. Yep. No more tossing those cooked carrots into a food processor and pulsing for a few seconds, someone else will handle all of that for you. Baby food delivery companies are popping up all across the country and they just seem so very ridiculous to me. It’s not like you’re making a gourmet meal for your baby.

When they first start eating solids and surpass the rice stage, you can either buy those little jars in the store or easily puree all sorts of healthy treats for your baby. It’s not rocket science, but someone decided to monopolize on a new mother’s fatigue and decided to press puree for you. There’s even a company that will provide pre-washed and chopped veggie packets you still have to steam and purée. They just do the chopping for you. I’m all for convenience, but anyone else thing that’s taking it way too far?!

If a casket is not your thing and you are wanting to be buried, I have just the thing for you: the Capsula Mundi Urn!
