1. Get Organized.
Someday soon… my garage AND house will be clean.
2. Run, walk or crawl a Marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k race this year.
I think I might hold my own 5k and see if Mrs. Hillbilly and Hulda want to “race” it with me. 😉
3. Remodel our Master Bathroom, Master Closet and Monkey Boy’s Bathroom.
We are getting there!
4. Finish Every Room in Our House.
Once the bathrooms are remodeled… all that will be left to do if find some furniture for the family room {hopefully at a garage sale this summer} and a nice chair and ottoman for the front room. I have a strict budget, and I’m hoping to come in well under it.

5. Turn Spare Bedroom into a Cozy Home Office Space for myself.
Once Monkey Boy’s bathroom is done… I’ll get started.
6. Create a Vegetable Garden.
Guess who just planted a packet of beets in her front flower bed? I figure the red tops will confuse the HOA as they drive by.
7. Build a Path into the Hillside for Easy Access to the Upper Garden.
8. Limit my personal spending to $100 a month.
Another week passed without buying anything from my $100 a monthly spending budget. I was tempted to buy this {maybe twice} used pair of Keens at the thrift store but the $23.99 price tag made me put them back.
So far in March I have spent $42.44.
- In February I Spent $32.52
- In January I Spent $84.33
9. Purge… Weekly. Find 10 things each week to donate to the thrift store.
17 Books were set aside for the thrift store this week. My goal by the end of the year is to have all the “extra” stuff we don’t need donated or sold so our next move will be easy peasy. {Eye on the prize baby!}
10. Read 1 book a week. – My goal is to read 52 books this year
I picked a few books at the library this week. My Amish Childhood, The Forgotten Seamstress and Simply Primitive. Have you read any other those?
11. Slow Down.
Nope. It didn’t happen this week. 🙂 There is just too much going on.
12. Canning – Life was sort of crazy last year and I feel like I sorta fell off the canning wagon and I’d like to hop back on it this year. Ideally, I’d like to open my pantry at the end of the year and have rows and rows of home canned goodness staring back at me.
Did you set any goals for this year? If so, how are they coming along?
